Antique Framed Bavarian Military Portrait – Infanterist Luger, Kgl. Infanterie-Leib-Regiment München 1909–1911
A beautifully preserved antique framed military commemorative portrait of Infanterist Luger, 2nd Company (II. Comp.), Royal Bavarian Infantry Life Regiment Munich (Kgl. Bayr. Infanterie-Leib-Regiment München), dating from 1909–1911.
This colorized lithograph portrait depicts a Bavarian soldier in full dress uniform — dark blue tunic with red epaulettes and trim, matching cap, and white gloves — set against an ornate painted studio backdrop typical of the Imperial German era. A small oval portrait medallion is visible on the wall behind the subject, a hallmark of the period's commemorative portrait style.
Presented in its original gilt wood frame with gray mat. A wonderful piece of pre-WWI Bavarian militaria and a rare survivor from the Imperial German period.
